Q: What are the plans for the 4th quarter marking period learning environment?
A: A number of variables will determine what learning environment we will be able to offer, including data contained on the DOH CALI reports, vaccine availability, and the recommendations with regard to social distancing. It is possible that we could remain under the current hybrid system or we could look to increase in-person learning up to five days a week. We are currently working on multiple possible plans and will adjust our plan according to what is safe at that time.
Q: How does it work when there is an open board seat?
A: The Board will post notice of the availability, interview if necessary, then appoint a person to the seat for the remainder of the open seat term.
Q: Why do the students not receive a hot lunch versus a cold lunch?
A: Nutri-Serve made the determination that a cold lunch would provide the safest meal.
Q: Is the district planning on hiring a Speech-Language Specialist?
A: Yes. We have not been without the support of a service, but we are planning to hire this position as a district employee and not a contracted service.
