Golf A Sport?

Scientist Neil Wolkodoff has done a scientific experiment to help solve the age old mystery of whether or not Golf can be determined a sport. There are many people on both sides of this argument who will tell you many different things. Wolkodoff determined that when you are swinging a club you are using almost every group of muscles in your body, however the age old argument used against it is that it does not burn enough calories compared to other sports. Golf burns about half of the calories that other sports such as soccer, football, and basketball.
Golfers gaining weight?
Many amateur golfers tend to have a problem when it comes to their diet. Golf does not burn particularly a lot of calories. Many golfers probably eat around a 2,000-3,000 calorie diet a day and playing golf for a couple hours at a 300 calorie per hour rate is simply not good enough to stay in shape.
