📸 Picture Retakes & Fall Sports Pictures ⚾
September 28th at Wolf Ridge
We will have order forms for both sports pictures and school picture retakes available at the beginning of this coming week in the office. Please let your child's teacher know if he/she is planning on getting retakes or pictures due to being absent.
Girls basketball players should bring their entire uniform to school that day for the picture including their basketball shoes.
Baseball and softball players will get their jerseys back to wear for the picture and then collected back from them on this day. They will still need to bring in their pants, socks, belts, etc.

📝 Parent Teacher Conferences are Coming Soon! 👨👩👧👦
Parent Teacher Conferences will take place on Tuesday, October 3rd from 4:00-7:30 and Thursday, October 5th from 2:30-5:30. Teachers will be sending out information about how to schedule an appointment to meet with them. WE WANT TO MEET WITH EVERYONE! 😊
Jr. High Conferences will be on a first come first serve basis. They will not be individually scheduled.
Our School Psychologist and Social Worker will be at Wolf Ridge on Tuesday evening and at BHHS on Thursday evening for conferences.
You can always reach out to any staff member via email with any questions at anytime. Staff emails are first initial, last name, and then bhcusd.org. For example, my email is sronen@bhcusd.org. All staff emails can also be found on our website: bhcusd.org.
📚 Book Fair = October 2nd-5th 📚
The Literati Book Fair is coming! Do you have what it takes to Crack the Case? Come get clued in to the BEST new books on October 2-5, 2023. The book fair will be open for business during the school day 8-3:30, as well as open during Parent/Teacher Conferences. Every purchase benefits our school!
🎪 The Day of Awesomeness is October 3rd! 🎉
We will have games and inflatables at our school for ALL to enjoy on this special day to celebrate the amazing job everyone did with raising funds for our POP Fundraiser. Thank you for your support!
The tentative scheduled for each grade level is below:
8:30-10:00 = PK, K, 1, & 2
10:10-11:40 = Jr. High
11:50-1:20 = PK, 3, 4, & 5
(Reminder: This is an early dismissal day at 2:00PM.)
Let your child's teacher know if you can volunteer on this day!

📕 ORDER YOUR WOLF RIDGE YEARBOOK📕
It's never too early to purchase your Wolf Ridge Yearbook for this school year. They will be $15 now and will go up to $18 starting January 1st. Click on the link below to order today!
We also have about 25 yearbooks that are available for purchase from last year if anyone forgot to purchase them. They are $15 each. Email Misty Perez at mperez@bhcusd.org if you are interested in purchasing a yearbook from the 2022-2023 school year. First come first serve!
🗓️ PLAN AHEAD FOR THESE UPCOMING EVENTS ⏰
🍏September 25th = Suicide Prevention Assembly (Part 2)
September is suicide prevention month. Our school psychologist, Julie LaPeire, will host an assembly for 6th and 7th grade students during their PE class times in the gym.
🍏September 28th = Picture Retake Day & Sports Pictures
🍎September 29th = K-5 Assembly (WEAR RED)
We will pass out our first Student of the Month awards on this day, too.
🎃October 3rd = DAY OF AWESOMENESS & Early Dismissal at 2:00
There will be several giant inflatables for ALL students to enjoy! Email your teacher if you would like to volunteer on this day.
👻October 3rd & 5th = Parent Teacher Conferences & Early Dismissal at 2:00PM
Conferences will take place in the evening on both of these days. Teachers will send out more information about signing up for a conference time soon.
🎃October 6th = No School (PAC is still OPEN!)
There will be no school on this day due to conferences in the evenings on Tuesday and Thursday.
PAC will be open on this day from 6AM-6PM if anyone is in need of childcare. Email lprater@bhcusd.org if you would like to sign-up for this day.
👻October 9th = No School
This is a school holiday.
🎃 October 12th = Fire Drill with Fire Department
We will have a fire drill for all students and staff on this day. The Bunker Hill Fire Department will also be here to share fire safety tips with our students.
👻 October 13th = End of 1st Quarter (Early Dismissal at 12:30PM)
This day marks the end to the first quarter of school. Students will be released early. There will also be a lockdown safety drill on this day for students.
🎃 October 17th = Jr. High Band Field Trip
Jr. High Band members will be going on a field trip on this day with Mr. Adams. Please contact Mr. Adams via email at madams@bhcusd.org with any questions.
👻 October 20th = Jr. High Fall Fun Night
Jr. High students are invited to enjoy an evening of hot dogs, s'mores, hay rides and fun with friends at Wolf Ridge on this evening. More information will be coming soon!
🎃October 27th = PK-5 Fall Class Parties Today
PFK will host fall class parties on this day in the afternoon between 1:30-3:00PM. Students can dress in costume today or wear orange and black. We will parade around our gymnasium to show off our costumes just before class parties at 1:00PM. Family members are invited to watch in the bleachers.
