ENews investigates bottle flipping at PHS...
BOTTLE FLIPPING...GOOD OR BAD?
Is it a great trend or nuisance to teachers? "Bottle Flipping" is an international trend that started with Mike Senatore. At Ardney Kell High School, Mike started bottle flipping in his chemistry class and then at a talent show, he performed a bottle flip in front of his school. Overnight a video of his bottle flipping became a viral sensation.
Bottle flipping is the act of taking an almost empty water bottle, simply flicking it, then hoping for it to flip in the air and land on it's bottom. Bottle flipping is normally used with a regular-sized plastic water bottle, but in Sweden they are known to use reusable sport bottles! AND they break! The act of bottle flipping is not enjoyed by everybody. Schools across the country have actually banned water bottle flipping. Many parents disagree. In Parenting Magazine, hundreds of parents surveyed stated that they believe bottle flipping is less harmless than experimenting with drugs or getting arrested and should be embraced!
Scientist have proven that bottle flipping is harder than it looks. It requires using the act of fluid dynamics, angular momentum and gravity. The Tiger ENews supports bottle flipping. What's the harm?
