Parent Pick Up & Dismissal of Walkers
Early Pick-up: Dismissal begins at 3:45 PM each day. If you need to pick up your child before the end of the school day, please do so before 3:30 PM. All adults picking up students should be prepared to show ID. All adults picking up students should be prepared to show ID.
Placard System for Car Pick-Up: This school year we will once again be using the "placard system" during dismissal for all cars picking up students. For new parents wondering what a placard system is - it is simply a system where each car arriving has a modest size bright pink sign on the dashboard indicating the child's or children's last name. Multiple signs will be available for families with more than one possible arrangement for pick-up (Neighbor, grandparents, etc.) Once you have obtained a placard, please write your child's last name on the sign - it should be written large enough to be viewed from a distance during dismissal.
These signs will be available during all Back-to-School Nights. They will also be available in the main office.
NEW THIS YEAR: Walkers will be dismissed first - This means promptly at 3:45 PM. Like any new system, while this change does not sound difficult, we respectfully request your patience during the opening days of school.
PARENT MESSAGE: Car Riders During Arrival & Dismissal - SAFETY FIRST
SAFETY REMINDERS: Parents, please pay careful attention to the following safety reminders as you enter and exit the Linden parking lot during arrival and dismissal. We ask that you please obey all traffic laws while entering and exiting Linden's school zone:
- Please be mindful of the speed limit.
- Cell phone use is restricted while driving on school property.
- Please yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk(s).
- Please come to a complete stop at all stop signs.
