Has your family's housing changed?
If your family has experienced housing changes since the start of the year, your child(ren) may be eligible for support through the McKinney-Vento Assistant Act. Students who may qualify are those who lack a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence living in situations such as:
- Doubled up with family or a friend
- In a car, park, campground, public space, abandoned building, substandard housing or similar
- In a motel or hotel
- In a house or vehicle of any kind (including a camper) without running water, electricity or heat In a shelter or transitional housing
- Unaccompanied youth not living with a parent or legal guardian
- Youth awaiting foster care (first 30 days in foster care)
- Migratory children living in similar living conditions

Staff Spotlight - Mrs. Snodgrass
Mrs. Snodgrass teaches Career Explorations and Computer Applications at KMS. She earned her Bachelors in Business Management/Human Resources and her Masters in Business Education and Education Technology. Mrs. Snodgrass has been married for 38 years and has three grown children and one granddaughter. She has lived in five different states, five different countries, and can speak three languages! KMS is thankful for Mrs. Snodgrass and all she brings to our school!

The STEM activities were designed with themes of CREATIVITY and IMPROVING THE WORLD through technology. Students experienced how problem-solving through STEM can make the world a better place. Central to the activities is teamwork, highlighting the importance of communication skills in STEM careers.

Attendance Information
We are here for you!
Our attendance office is very busy with multiple calls per minute.
Message are checked frequently; If you need to call your student out, please leave a detailed message and we will get your needs taken care of.
Please be assured that we listen to ALL messages and update as they come in.
Student Release during the School Day
School is released for the day at 2:15pm. This is a great opportunity for appointments to be made for after school to maximize learning time for your child.
If you need to get your child released from school for an appointment, please call at least 30 minutes ahead of time so that we can assist in a timely manner. After you call your child out, we will send a slip to their classroom with a release time.
Unexcused Absences
If you are notified that your child has an Unexcused Absence at any point during the day, please reach out to the teacher directly for clarification (if needed). Teachers will then notify the attendance clerk if any changes to attendance need to be made.
