The new school year is around the corner!
Dear Parents and Staff,
I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of you as we begin the new school year. I am excited to be starting my fifth year as principal at this wonderful school and look forward to working with all of you.
As always, we will be working diligently to provide our students with the best possible education in a safe and nurturing environment. We have an outstanding staff who are dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential.
I encourage you to become involved in our school community. We have many opportunities for parents to volunteer and participate in school activities. Your involvement is essential to the success of our students.
I look forward to meeting each of you and working together to make this a great school year.

Back-to-School Immunization Event Information
The state of Florida requires students to have all of their required immunizations before school starts which include children entering kindergarten or the required update before a child enters 7th grade. Eleven-year-olds are eligible for the Tetanus-Diphtheria-Pertussis immunization also known as Tdap. This is a required shot before entering 7th grade.
There is an immunization event happening at Odyssey on August 3 from 9:00 until 3:00 pm. You can also find a list of all event locations and additional information on the district’s website: https://bit.ly/3vf18p4. Once your child receives the immunization, you’ll need to submit the Florida 680 form that the doctor gives you to the school.
What to bring:
· Parents or Guardian bring valid ID, guardians should bring proof of guardianship
· Students must have: most recent immunization record, as well as an original Birth Certificate, passport, or other government ID
Those with private insurance and Medicaid can go directly to their medical care provider and obtain these same services.
The following vaccines are required for children entering preschool and grades K-12: Tetanus-Diphtheria-Pertussis(whooping cough), measles, mumps, rubella, polio, varicella (chickenpox), and hepatitis B.
Visit ImmunizeFlorida.org to learn more about immunizations your child may need. For additional information, please call 407.858.1444.
We look forward to seeing students in class when school starts Thursday, August 10th.
