End of Year Thoughts
It's been a great year of Kindergarten! I am so proud of your children and what they have accomplished this year. Please make sure that your child continues to practice their reading, writing, and math skills this summer. Listening to stories in the car, writing notes on sticky notes or even keeping a journal is a great way to keep your child engaged in learning. Please remember that when doing math with your child at home to use objects for your child to touch, count, and manipulate. This keeps the learning concrete and developmentally appropriate for your child. Students are also encouraged to record their ideas and explain their math thinking using appropriate math vocabulary. Best wishes to all of you for a safe and wonderful summer!
Library books
Please remember that all library books are due. If your child has received a late notice from the library, please return the book as soon as possible.
No bookbags on Wednesday!
Tuesday is the last day for bookbags & lunchboxes. For school on Wednesday, please have your child keep his/her bookbag at home. If your child brings lunch, please send it in a plastic or brown paper bag that can be disposed of. The bus drivers don't want students having anything on the bus on Wednesday.
