SUMMER SCHOOL INFORMATION
Summer School Dates: May 21 - June 14
The Gainesville district is very excited about our summer school offerings for 2018. Summer school is available to students who want take part in enrichment and remedial activities. Summer School's theme this year is "The Great Outdoors", and we plan to offer more educational opportunities involving nature and fitness. We want to utilize our summer courses to enrich the opportunities and offer hands-on projects and activities to our students.
At the 9th-12th level, students will have multiple course selections to fit their schedules. Traditional seated classes will be offered as well as online courses. Drivers Education will be offered this year for students that are turning 15 years old by May 1st of this year. High school courses are set up in half and full credit options depending on the time available for each student’s summer schedule.
As we do each year, summer school students will have free breakfast and lunch every day. Bus transportation will be provided and routes will be similar to last school year. Summer school is open enrollment for all students, so students out of the Gainesville school district can attend free of charge.
Attendance incentives will be offered to students who attend 90% with an all-day field trip on the last day of summer school. This incentive will be available for K-12th grade students with 90% attendance. Please check out the information below for additional information.

SPRING SOFTBALL NEWS
RECORD:
Thursday April 5 vs Alton lost 0-11
So far during our Spring season, we are 1-7. We use the spring season to prepare for next year's fall season since we do not have districts in the spring. With that being said, I do not see the spring season as a time to not take seriously. We have a lot of girls playing in different positions and incorporating our younger pitchers so that they can gain experience for the fall season. I know that our record is not the best, but I do feel that every situation we are faced with will make us better for the upcoming year. I am proud of the hard work that the girls have put in so far this season and continue to do so to get better. Please come out to our last three remaining home games.

BASEBALL NEWS
Gainesville Bulldogs Baseball is currently 3-6 with wins over Cabool, Sparta, and Laquey. The team has played a lot of close games and has been into extra innings against both Sparta and Dora going 1-1 in those games. This team is very young with only 3 Seniors and 1 Junior while having 7 Sophomores and 3 Freshman. The team is progressing as the season goes on and we look forward to getting even better heading into a stretch of conference games and the postseason.
