Change in Transportation?
Parents:
If your child has a change of transportation, please remember to send a note with your child that morning. This will ensure your child has a smooth transition to the correct place and time. Remember, for the safety of your child, you will always be required to show your I.D. when picking up a student.

LIBRARY NEWS
Thank you to everyone who supported the Boosterthon and to the PTO for using funds to help renovate the library! I will be working with campus and district personnel to make wise choices for our Lions. Check out the presentation on our Facebook pages to get some ideas about the possibilities!
Spring book fair is May 11-15, so mark your calendars!
April is National Library Month! We will have two contests to celebrate. First, all students who nominate a character showing PAWS (Pride, Attitude, Wise Choices, and Safety) will receive a prize. Characters will be voted on by grade levels and announced during Children’s Book Week in early May. Also, we are having a Quote Contest! All students submitting quotes about books, reading or libraries will receive prizes. #AWESOME quotes will be displayed, and possibly incorporated into permanent décor during renovations. See the ballots for both contests in this edition of the Lions Lines!

COUNSELOR'S CORNER
For all of you parents out there wondering when the GT results for 1st-5th grade will be here? Be looking for the results to come home on April 28th!
Our “Word of the Month” for April is Peace: proving you care more about each other than winning the argument!
Have you ever noticed it’s easier to keep the peace with some people than it is with others? You probably almost never get into an argument with your mailman. It’s pretty easy to keep things peaceful between you and your pediatrician. And you probably can’t remember the last time you wanted to throw a rotten tomato at your grocer’s head. No, the people we argue with the most are the people we are closest to—our family! (And, if we are totally honest, the people we love the most.) So take some time this week to sit down with your family and show you care more about them than you do about winning an argument. How? Take turns telling each person the top five reasons that you are glad that they are a part of your family. And maybe next time that you find yourself arguing with your brother, you will remember just how awesome he is at getting you past that airplane level of your favorite Sonic the Hedgehog game and decide your relationship with him is way more important than winning the argument.
Thank you to our March Watch D.O.G.S.
