ANNOUNCEMENTS for Week of May 20, 2019
INFORMATION CONCERNING NEXT YEAR: We are at a position to share some information concerning next year at this time. We have waited so that we could have the most accurate picture we could before making decisions. So far we know that three grade-levels will need to rotate rooms: Kindergarten, 4th, and 5th. So far we know that we will have 5 --Kindergarten teachers, 5 1/2 --1st grade teachers, 5 1/2 --2nd grade teachers, 7 --3rd grade teachers, 4 --4th grade teachers, and 4 --5th grade teachers. This tentatively means that no one that was hired will have to be transferred. At this time we do not believe we will have enough students to "earn" another teacher, however. This means that 4th and 5th grade classes will remain at the current student ratios. It also means we will need to have one combination class in 1st and 2nd grade. Schedules and other information will be forthcoming as soon as possible.
Volunteer Breakfast: Be sure to remember your breakfast items per email from Julie Hay for the PTA Mtg/Volunteer Breakfast on Monday, May 20.
EOGs: Be sure to check the google doc/schedule for updates to the testing schedule. Any revisions will be highlighted. Please remember to avoid making noise in the hall, do not go to recess unless testing is over, and pay attention to the location or recess etc... and details so that you are not caught unaware.
Floors/Rugs Cleaning: We are scheduled to have our floors and rugs cleaned over the Memorial Day Weekend in preparation for the 2019-20 school year. Please remember to have personal and breakable items in a safe place.
Teacher Survey: If you are Track 2 and tracked out or if for whatever reason were unable to complete the Wake County Survey that we did last Thursday at the meeting please go to this LINK to complete the 10-15 minute survey. Thanks.

We had some creative responses for Name That Copier. Please vote for two of the copier names on this FORM so that we can have some fun seeing which of the copiers most successfully handles your copies.
