DECK THE HALLS
The decorating of the hallways in winter and holiday themes will be a competition between the classes as to who has the “best” decorated hallway.
Students must bring in decorations or create them from their own materials -- no going to teachers or Art Room for supplies.
Any sabotage or destruction of another class’ decoration will disqualify the class of the student or students involved.
Seniors will decorate the catwalk.
Juniors will decorate the first floor.
Sophomores will decorate the second floor.
Freshmen will decorate the third floor.
Decorating will occur during AR on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Judging will occur Thursday. The faculty will judge. Each faculty member will find a ballot in his or her mailbox Thursday morning. All ballots must be in by the end of the day Thursday.
No structures obstructing hallways. Everything must be able to be attached to the walls.
No decorations will cover fire extinguishers or alarm boxes.
All decorations must be winter and holiday themed. (also school appropriate and positive)
No streamers
Students may only decorate their class’s hallway. No addition or removal of decorations in another classes hallway.
Failure to follow these rules by any member of a class will disqualify that class from the competition.
HONOR BOWL AT LEICESTER HIGH SCHOOL
DPHS Boys' Basketball Defeats St. Mary's in Home Opener
The 2017-2018 Prouty squad looked great in their home opener against St. Mary's. Senior Sage Maryyanek scored a career-high 32 points to lead Panthers to victory.
PENNY WARS RAISE CLASS PRIDE, FUNDS FOR CHILDREN'S TOYS
The totals for Penny Wars are in, and the winners are the Seniors!!! Penny Wars rewards the class with the most pennies collected. Any bigger coins and bills are subtracted from the number of pennies. The Seniors ended up with 905 pennies.
Penny Wars led to some healthy class competition, which builds school spirit. Of course the real winners are the children who will receive toys funded by our donation of the non-winning funds: $84.65 to Toys for Tots.
