Nature's Classroom Chaperones
Nights of April 6 & 7, 2016
Spend a night in the lovely woods of Lakeside, CT.
Sixth graders in RSD6 are heading to Nature's Classroom in the spring. They will be staying overnight in cozy, well maintained cabins with indoor facilities, for the nights of Wednesday, April 6th and Thursday, April 7th. Therefore, we are in need of two chaperones to stay in each cabin each night. **We have a LOT of boys this year and are in great need of male chaperones!*** The time commitment is about 8pm till 7am, but you are welcome to arrive earlier, or stay for breakfast.
Comfy Cabins
Each cabin sleeps up to 14 students and 3 adults. An attached bathroom offers three private shower rooms. Have a favorite bedtime song or story to share with your campers? Bring it along!
The Great Outdoors
Students spend the whole day outdoors, exploring and learning about nature's mysteries. This usually leads to quick sleepers at the end of a busy day!
Teamwork Activities
Each cabin includes students from all three elementary schools. They've been working together all day, creating new friendships through teamwork challenges. An evening in the cabin shows the evidence of this new camaraderie.
Small commitment, BIG value!
Wamogo Teachers: This is an opportunity for you to get to know your future students! You'll get valuable small and large group time to experience their personalities & friendships, and you, too, can form great connections with your new students.
