News from this week
Dear Parents,
It was so nice meeting with so many of you this week. I hope you enjoyed having your children lead their conferences. I thought it was great that they were able to share their accomplishments and goals with you. I am SO proud of each and every one of the students They have come a long way since August! If I was not able to meet with you, and you have not scheduled an individual conference, I will send home his/her progress reports and reading and writing continuums. Please review these with your child, and please let me know if you would like to set up a conference at school or by phone. I am always happy to talk/answer questions about your child's progress.
We start our Light Unit on Monday. The test will most likely be next Friday or the following Monday. This material was taught to the students in their science special with Ms. Bradley. Please be sure that your child reviews his/her notes each night. I will be sure to remind them to take home science journals each night.
Be sure to read important information regarding STEAM Night below! Registration is only taking place on line this year. I also added a bunch of dates to the 'Important Dates' section below. Be sure to check them out!
If your child needs a new Social Studies notebook, try not to go out to buy a new one. Instead, look for any old composition notebooks that they may have used in past grades that may not be full. They can tear out the old pages and use the good pages left.
See below for a cute class picture! (Thank you Mrs. Tysver!)
Have a good week and enjoy the beautiful weather!
