We are, Beamer Strong
Todd Beamer High School - "Let's Roll"
Principal's Message March 20, 2023
Good afternoon parents and families,
We are nearing the mid-point of second semester and it is so important that our students keep up on their grades and classwork. One of the major obstacles for our students is their reliance on cell phones. At TBHS each classroom has posted cell phone expectations that are in line with school board policy and the student handbook. We are asking that you have a conversation with your young adult about the use of cell phones in the classroom. Cellphone use can have adverse effects on grades.
The Student Rights and Responsibility Handbook states:
DIGITAL DEVICES
In recognition of parent/guardian decisions regarding the safety and communication needs of their families, the following expectations are placed into effect so as to establish and create a positive and productive learning environment. The possession and use of personal and school electronic or telecommunications devices (such as, but not limited to, computing tools, phones, tablets, iPods/iPads, watches, pens, and recording devices), must not pose a threat to academic integrity, disrupt the learning environment or violate the privacy rights of others. The District is not responsible for the theft or destruction of devices brought to school. Teachers may also allow the use of personal devices in their classrooms if such use contributes to instructional and/or educational purposes.
Thank you!
Chris McCrummen

STEM Exploration Night Shuttle Bus Routes
As with previous in person STEM Exploration Nights, FWPS is continuing its commitment to ensuring the fun STEM event is accessible for families by providing dedicated shuttle buses from areas across our district. Parking is limited at Federal Way High School, and bus shuttles are a great option to get to the event.
Find the route list here: www.fwps.org/STEMExpo/Shuttle
All scholars are welcome to ride the shuttle with a parent or guardian. High school scholars can ride the shuttle by themselves by presenting a permission slip signed by their parent or guardian upon boarding the bus.
Learn more about STEM Exploration Night at www.fwps.org/STEMExpo. For questions, email stemexpo@fwps.org.
