Mrs. Campbell's Notes
As we approach the end of the first semester, it's a pleasure to reflect on the accomplishments and growth we've witnessed in our students. December brings a sense of joy and unity, and I am grateful for the dedication and spirit that our students, teachers, and parents bring to our school. Our staff and students are enthusiastic about the Holiday season, however, they all know that we still have hard work to do in order to wrap up the semester. I encourage all staff and students to finish strong and complete the first semester with raised success.
I would like to wish all our KMHS school community a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Enjoy time with family and friends, and take the time to rejuvenate and restore for the upcoming 2024 year!

First Semester Final Schedule
Congratulations to our newest members of the Kingman Hall of Fame!

Mike Minton - 1989
Justin Watkins - 1992
The Hall of Fame Ceremony will be on Friday, December 8, after the girls varsity game, at approximately 7:30pm.
November's Coffee with the Principal
Thank you to the parents who attended the two "Coffee with the Principal" morning conversations. November's conversation centered around chronic absenteeism. Did you know when students miss 10% of the school days in a year (two days a month), excused or unexcused, they are considered chronically absent? Right now, 20% of our high school students and 14% of our middle school students are on track to be considered chronically absent. I have included a link from the US Department of Education with facts about school attendance. The KMHS staff and administration are working towards lowering these percentages through interventions at school, but we need help from parents as well to make sure school is a priority and that students are attending every day!
If you want to learn more, please, come to our next Coffee and Conversation in January. I provide the coffee and topics, but you determine where the conversations might lead. I'd love for you to attend! All are welcome!

A Great Way to Recognize Our Teachers
A Note from Food Service
Extra Items At Lunch
All ages of students have the opportunity to purchase extra milk. At some ages students can also purchase extra entrees or ala carte items with their lunch. In order to purchase these extra items, students must have money on their account or cash with them at the time of purchase. These items can not be ācharged.ā This applies to all students no matter if they are full pay, free or reduced. If you do not wish for your children to get anything extra, you can contact your child's school and we can turn off that feature for you. Students who receive free lunches, please understand these extra items are outside the scope of the lunch program and must be paid for by either putting some money on your childās account or sending your child with cash.
School Lunch Charging Policy
Our USD 331 Board policy allows students to charge up to 3 lunches. After the first charge, parents will receive a text and email from Thrillshare. After the 2nd and 3rd charge, parents should receive a personal phone call to discuss payment arrangements or alternate meal plans.
Free and Reduced Lunches
At any time if you feel your family may qualify for free or reduced price lunches, you can apply. If you have applied before but were denied, remember that a job loss or change, a disability or accident that prevents you from working or a life status change (divorce, marriage, etc.) may change your status. Once you qualify for free or reduced lunches, you maintain that status for the rest of the school year. You can apply through your parent portal in Skyward or there are paper applications in each school office. A childās free and reduced lunch status is confidential.Social Media
