Report Cards
DC Trip Info
We are very excited about trip and know it will be meaningful as well as educational. This letter contains important information. Please let us know if you have any questions.
What to Bring
1.ONE suitcase (with luggage tag)
2.ONE “carry-on” bag (backpack)
3.Camera (optional)
4.Clothing – You will want to be sure to include a jacket, COMFORTABLE walking shoes, rain gear, and a plastic bag for wet/dirty clothes. We will give students the projected forecast before we leave.

6.Sunscreen
7.Water bottle
8.Snacks will be provided by parents and handed out
9.Bag lunch for Wednesday (DO NOT FORGET!)
10.Spending money ($10 - $15 per day)
11.Pre-paid phone card or cell phone
12.iPods, PSP’s, etc. can be used on the bus and in the hotel room, but these are NOT to be used within museums or exhibits.
*** Students are 100% responsible for any items that they bring including money, phones, and/or electronic devices. Label EVERYTHING!!***
Medical Forms:
Per Wake County School system policy, students may carry and self-administer medications while on the field trip. Students may only carry the dosage required for the duration of the trip (i.e. one multivitamin per day, 1-2 ibuprofen pills per day, etc). Prescription medication(s) must be in a pharmacy bottle with the student name and dosage. Over-the-counter medication(s) must be in a properly labeled manufacturer’s container. Any medications found to be outside this policy may be subject to administration action.

Itinerary
We will meet at Salem Middle on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 5:30am so that we can load the buses and get on our way by 6:00am. Our expected time of arrival back to Salem on Friday evening is between 10:00-10:30pm. Please arrive on time to pick up your child. We usually have students call you when we are 30 minutes out.
