School Closures
As has been proven in the last several days, snow can fall in the area unexpectedly and the possibility of a school closure due to weather always exists. The foremost factor considered regarding school cancellation due to weather conditions is student safety; mainly arriving at school, and back home, safely.
The cancellation announcement will generally be made by 6:00 a.m., of the school day, following a check of road conditions by the school district transportation director and other key personnel and agencies. Information regarding school cancellation will be disseminated through major television and radio stations, as well as, through official school / district social media accounts and Blackboard notification system.
Thank you for your continued support as we work each day to provide your student with a quality education.
Sincerely,
Lonni Smith
Principal
