Greeting Catalina Community,
Welcome to second quarter of the 2022-2023 school year! On Tuesday, October 25th all students attended an assembly to remind them of the Trojan expectations for behavior (see handbook attached) and to share all the wonderful things happening this week. This week is Trojan Spirit week with a different way to show spirit each day.
Here is the list of events happening this week:
• October 24-October 28 Trojan Spirit Week
• October 25 is PSAT- ALL 9th – 11th graders will be testing.
• October 25 Seniors will rotate through Senior workshops at school. Students will need social security number to register for FASFA.
• October 26 is Trunk or Treat sponsored by AVID in our parking lot from 5:30-7:30. Bring the family out to meet with teachers and administration and have fun!
• October 28 is homecoming and includes a tailgate afterschool and the football game followed by a dance from 9-11. Students must have their school picture identification to enter the dance.
November 1st is the start of our new sports season. See Mr. Bridges for information regarding specific winter sports.
If your daughter/son is in need of credit recovery we are now offering 0 period hour (from 70=-8 am) and afterschool 8th and 9th period credit recovery to recover credit to graduate on time.
Please come and visit me at the administrator’s table on Wednesday during Trunk or Treat. I would love to hear from you regarding best times to have parent meetings and more.

¡Bienvenido al segundo trimestre del año escolar 2022-2023! El martes 25 de octubre, todos los estudiantes asistieron a una asamblea para recordarles las expectativas de comportamiento de Trojan (ver el manual adjunto) y para compartir todas las cosas maravillosas que suceden esta semana. Esta semana es la semana del Espíritu de Troya con una forma diferente de mostrar el espíritu cada día.
Aquí está la lista de eventos que sucederán esta semana:
• 24 de octubre al 28 de octubre Semana del espíritu Troyano
• 25 de octubre es PSAT- TODOS los estudiantes de 9º a 11º grado estarán tomando la prueba.
• 25 de octubre Los seniors rotarán a través de talleres para seniors en la escuela. Los estudiantes necesitarán el número de seguro social para registrarse en FASFA.
• El 26 de octubre es Trunk or Treat patrocinado por AVID en nuestro estacionamiento de 5:30-7:30. ¡Traiga a la familia para reunirse con los maestros y la administración y divertirse!
• El 28 de octubre es Homecoming e incluye un evento después de la escuela y el partido de fútbol seguido de un baile de 9 a 11. Los estudiantes deben tener su identificación con foto de la escuela para entrar al baile.
El 1 de noviembre es el comienzo de nuestra nueva temporada deportiva. Consulte al Sr. Bridges para obtener información sobre deportes de invierno específicos.
Si su hija/hijo necesita recuperación de créditos, ahora ofrecemos 0 horas de período (desde las 7 -8 a. m.) y recuperación de créditos después de la escuela en los períodos 8 y 9 para recuperar créditos y graduarse a tiempo.
Venga y visíteme en la mesa del administrador el miércoles durante Trunk or Treat. Me encantaría saber de usted sobre los mejores momentos para tener reuniones de padres y más.
