YOU can click approve!
All staff who are signed in will be able to approve videos. WHAAAT? Yes.
Use your powers wisely. Essentially all videos are blocked until they get approved. Please remember that all approved videos are viewable to all @hsdschools.org accounts, so you are approving for our preschoolers, too. Now is not the time to be edgy :)

Housekeeping--- Google Classroom notifications
- on the Classroom home page, where you see the class tiles, look at the hamburger button on the left side (3 lines). There is a SETTINGS option at the bottom of the list. Choose it and you can manage your notifications
- Watch this video to see how you can create a filter in Gmail.

Housekeeping-- Seesaw Home Codes
If you don't know how to get the codes (this is DIFFERENT that Family Codes for the Family App) sign into your class and you will see a big blue button at the top. Students use this to sign into the CLASS app. Here is a video I made for more info.
Here's my point right now....
If you need parent information, Printing the codes will give you a one pager, in ENGLISH, but that doesn't help our Spanish speaking Families.
So, I made a page you can send home with SPANISH instructions. Or, you can take a picture of it and text/email it to parents.
CLICK HERE to get the Spanish instructions for families.
Hope that helps you! Wish I had that ready a month ago. :)
Housekeeping--- video conferencing screenshots
INSTEAD, consider posting something your students are working on! Let's share some learning that is happening! There is great stuff going on, let's highlight THAT instead of our student faces.

Let's wrap up with some Tech Tips
Tech Support for Families
Here is what you will find at the Help Desk Page
- A TECH NEWSLETTER for families that I am updating. There is an English version and a Spanish version.
- A way to submit a STUDENT SUPPORT REQUEST via Google Form (that is on the right side)
- And a number to call to leave a message if the issue is urgent.
Check it out, and share it with families who encounter trouble.
iPADS--- SELF SERVICE
THERE IS NO APP STORE on student iPads. This is a managed device, and that means several things-- one is that we manage what apps are available. You may need to explain to families that Self Service is our managed App Store.
- If you want students to use a new app, it may be in Self Service where families can go choose INSTALL and it will install. Remind them that they can't remove apps after installing them.
- Some apps may need to be updated--- there are new features all the time! To update an app, families will need to go into Self Service, find the app, and choose "Reinstall" to load the latest version of the app.
