Cleveland PTA welcomes families back to school!

Cleveland Elementary PTA welcomed their new incoming kindergartners and their families at their annual Kindergarten Picnic! With over 200 people in attendance, it was a great event! Families checked in to see which kindergarten teacher their child would be having this year. They received name tags with their teacher's initials and could then find other fellow classmates who had those same initials! Making friends with others in their class was a great ice breaker, and it made the kids more comfortable and more excited for their 1st day! Our kindergarten teachers, as well as our new principal, Mrs. Regan, were all in attendance and were excited to meet the students as well as answer any questions or concerns that parents may have had.

Families munched on hot dogs, chips, and water. Each family was given a treat bag to help with those 1st day of school tears or cheers! The kindergartners were able to take photos with several of our "Photo-Op Frames", and the parents loved it! The kids enjoyed playing on the playground, with the gym equipment, and sidewalk chalk. They also had a scavenger hunt to complete which earned them a prize upon completion!

Zeal credit union representative, Tiffany Sweet, was in attendance to discuss the popular Rockstar Savers program held at Cleveland throughout the year. The Rockstar Saver himself was there to greet the families as well!

The PTA also had Spirit Wear available for families to purchase, and families were also able to sign up for their PTA membership!

Cleveland PTA is always excited to host this event. Our incoming families had nothing but good things to say, and they were very grateful for the opportunity to have their kids be more comfortable when the 1st day of school arrives!
