PTO Meeting

Please join us next Thursday, 1/14, for the PTO General Meeting at 9:40 am featuring Jessica Ralston with an update and timeline on all of our new construction!

Please Welcome Ashley Cromwell to Symmes

Mrs. Cromwell will be a long term substitute teacher in Mrs. Vincent's Second Grade classroom. Mrs. Cromwell went to the University of Cincinnati where she received both her undergraduate and Master's degree. She started her career with Mt. Healthy City Schools but has also taught in the Cincinnati Public School District.

Mrs. Cromwell has been teaching for 5 years. She taught Kindergarten for 4 years and 3rd grade for one year. She was able to be with us as a long-term substitute because she took time off from teaching to care for her now 1-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son. She recently completed a wonderful long-term assignment at Maple Dale and is now very excited to begin here!

Join us in congratulating Caitlyn Vincent and her husband on the birth of their daughter!

Each Friday, we record and share the morning announcements in this newsletter. During these announcements, we:

  • Highlight and give a Shout out to a Virtual Classroom Grade Level
  • Share highlights and or events for the upcoming week
  • Share birthdays of face to face and virtual students
  • Announce Bee Buck Winners for virtual and face to face

We hope that you can tune in each Friday!

Optional Gifted Testing - please note the registration deadline is January 22, 2021

An optional administration of MAP testing for gifted services will be offered for second through fourth graders on February 4 and 5, 2021. The MAP test takes approximately 45-60 minutes per subject - reading and math; we will offer the reading test on February 4 and the math test on February 5. You may sign your child up for one or both test(s). You can indicate which test your child will take below.

We will adhere to the district's safety protocols and also require that any student who signs up for testing wear a mask. Once we receive all the registrations, groups will be created and staggered times will be assigned to avoid crowds congregating. You will receive an email soon with the time, location, and further instructions for testing. Please note that the parents are responsible for transportation to and from testing.

The email address you use to sign your child up will be the email address used for any communication regarding this optional gifted testing opportunity as well as to notify you on the day of testing when your child is done and ready to be picked up.

Please complete this google form to register.
