Special Needs Group in Jordan
Members from the Bayside Chapel in Barnegat traveled to Jordan, meeting a man named Bashar who was their tour guide. Bashar had been collecting water bottle caps to facilitate donations of wheelchairs for a special needs group in Jordan.
The Bayside Chapel continued the bottle cap collection here to help aid Bashar in his efforts. LTHS Junior Greyson Matthews, his family, the Lacey Township Community, and the Wawa in Lanoka Harbor also helped to collect them.
Tomredle’s Terrifically Tidy Laundry Services.
For his Leadership Academy project, Senior Jimmy Tomredle, wanted to do something that was going to make a difference. When he learned that some students were not going to school because they didn’t have clean clothes and were either embarrassed by it or afraid of getting bullied, Jimmy decided he would base his project on this. He sent out countless letters to stores explaining his project to help student and in March an appliance store in West Creek, Anchor Appliance came through and kindly donated a washer and dryer the high school.
