(NYA) New Deal program
The National Youth Administration is a New Deal program led by FDR to try and provide education and work for the youth between ages 16 and 25.
Facts about NYA
These individuals were paid anywhere from $6 to $40 a month to attend school. They were also paid $10 to $25 to work a part-time job. This also included training.
Who will benefit from this program?
The youth will benefit from this because they are now being paid and educated. This was also helpful to the economy because people now had money to buy things. This would also help in the long run because people were now more educated.
Women learning at school.
Jobs were now offered to a variety of people not just whites.
Girls were also a part of the work force now as well.
