Suggestion for Getting your Mind and Body prepped for testing
Go to bed early and get a really good nights rest. Stay off technology at least 30 minutes before you want to try and go to sleep.
Eat a healthy, good breakfast with some protein and complex carbs. Don't eat simple sugars like donuts, pop tarts, etc.
Breath! Visualize yourself doing well!
Breathe
Body Control Before Mind Control - Breathing
When you experience stress, you often breath high in your chest and can have trouble truly focusing because the pre-frontal cortex isn't in line.
To slow your heart rate back down and trick your body into calmness, focus your breathing in your diaphragm. This is your stomach area. It should be moving in slowly (the diaphragm rises) and out slowly when you exhale (the diaphragm gently falls).
Breath in through your nose slowly for about 4 seconds and out slowly through your mouth for about 6 seconds. And repeat.
While you breath, you can even silently repeat words to yourself, like "strong," or "calm," or "relaxed." Or you can visualize yourself doing something that is calm and relaxing to you.
