Thanks again for all you do to support our students! As we approach the end of the second trimester I have a few reminders/announcements:

Please encourage your children to complete any and all homework/assignments that may be pending so that those grades can be reflected in their report cards, I know that days seem to "flying by" and wanted to make sure that students get to these tasks as soon as possible.

Thanks for continuing to be safe at drop off and pick up times, I know that traffic is a bit hectic, but I truly thank you for respecting the school signals and keeping our students safe. Thank you Larry for doing such a great job setting up and putting everything away! You are awesome!

The COVID positive cases continue to go down, but we still need to be vigilant, please make sure that your child is bringing the entry ticket daily, if you do not have them, please get them from your teacher. Teachers are being directed to send the entry tickets with students every Friday. We also continue to provide Covid testing for Hoover students, every Monday, and Wednesday from 10:15am to 12:00pm and every Thursday from 1:30pm to 3:45pm.

Thank you for ensuring that your child is following dress code as well, I have seen an increase in the number of students who are wearing them, please continue to help us ensure that the dress code is being followed. Should you need to have additional uniforms, you may contact the Family Center, or contact Ms. Ixchel Baltazar at ibaltazar@rcsdk8.net. We've made a tremendous effort to get extra uniforms this year, so please make use of them.

Please refrain from parking at Sigonas Market, if you need a place to park, you may use the back parking lot behind the gym and walk your children to the front entrance area.

We have quite a few clothing, bottles and lunch bags in Hoover's lost and found, they have been placed in hangers next to the fences by the office, I ask you to please come in next week, our offices will be open from Tuesday Feb 22 through 25, and collect the clothing/items that belongs to your child. Anything that is not collected by Feb 25th will be donated to a second hand store. Our offices will be working regular times from 8-4pm from Tuesday to Friday next week. Please stop by, thanks!

ELPAC ASSESSMENTS

(ELPAC-English Language Proficiency Assessment for California) is a mandated state test that is used to determine English language proficiency (ELP). The assessments is given every year to students whose primary language is one other than English.

Time for assessment: The window begins Feb 7th, pls make sure that your child is practicing as much as possible for a great success!
