FAFSA Frenzy is November 15!
At a FAFSA completion workshop, students and parents can bring their financial documents in hand, sit down at computers, and fill out the FAFSA form. Expert help will be available as you go through the FAFSA at your own pace.
Ben Davis High School will host a FAFSA completion night on Wednesday, November 15 from 4:00 - 7:00 in the Media Center. Students and families are welcome to stop by for help filling their FAFSA. Staff from InVested will be available to make sure your FAFSA is filed on time and correctly!

Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship
The Elks National Foundation will award 500 four-year scholarships to the highest-rated applicants in the 2018 competition.
- Current high school seniors, or the equivalent, who are citizens of the United States are eligible to apply.
- Applicants need not be related to a member of the Elks.
- High school graduates are not eligible to apply.
- Applicants must be citizens of the United States on the date their applications are signed; permanent legal resident status does not qualify.
- Male and female students compete separately.
Hoosier Next Generation Teacher Scholarship
Remember your favorite teacher? The one who made a difference? The one who inspired? If that’s the kind of teacher you aspire to be, Indiana has a new scholarship for you!
The Next Generation Teacher Scholarship was created to help the next generation of Hoosier teachers pay for college. The State of Indiana will provide 200 scholarships each year to high-achieving high school and college students interested in pursuing a career in education. The scholarship pays $7,500 per year for up to four years to students who commit to teaching in Indiana after graduation.
Richard G. Lugar Minority Scholarship
Students must meet the following minimum criteria to be considered.
*GPA (unweighted) of 3.0 or higher
*Be a minority senior (African American, Hispanic, or Native American)
*Plan to pursue full-time studies at an Indiana public or private college or university
*Have a minimum combined (CR + M) SAT of 1000 or ACT composite over 22.
