Well it's hard to believe that the school year is over. What an awesome and inspiring year it was for me. You, the Elmdale Community, have welcomed me with open arms and graciously taught me about the many, many things that make Elmdale a special place to be. I didn't know what to expect on that first day back in September, and now it feels like it flew by in the blink of an eye.
This year was filled with hard work, loud laughs, probably a few tears, and much, much joy and learning. To see kids beaming as they share their Passion Projects; to see the pride as parents watched their child perform in a variety show; to see the friendships built, the "aha" moments, and all the other amazing things; these are what makes us a community, and I'm thankful and grateful to be a part of it.
Some memories for me are the variety shows and Christmas Concert, PrinciPals and Bucket-Filler Field Trips, and of course the many high-fives in the hallway. I'm very proud to say that I think I have learned almost everybody's name.
I wish every student, parent, teacher, EA, custodian, librarian, secretary and anyone else connected to Elmdale, an amazing and restful summer. I look forward to seeing you all in the fall and hearing all the stories about your summer!
