RSVP for Course/Program Informational Meeting
One of our priorities is to make sure that our students are aware of the options they have within their education. Do you know what academic options are available for your middle & high school aged children? Please come and listen to KPBSD’s Career and Technical Education Coordinator, Annaleah Karron. She will travel to Hope School and share information about JumpStart, Middle College, Educators Rising, other university partnerships, and possible career pathways courses that we may not be aware of. We urge you to attend and aren’t above bribing you with food. COOPER LANDING & MOOSE PASS STUDENTS & PARENTS ARE WELCOME ALSO. RSVP required, so click here to reserve your space. See you there!
DATE: Tuesday, Nov. 8
TIME: 3:45 – 4:15 + additional time for questions
WHERE: Hope School
All Doors to School Will Now Be Locked
This school year, the KPBSD is requiring all elementary school doors to be locked during the academic school day. We understand this may be an inconvenience for some parents and staff, but the KPBSD holds school safety to the utmost level. As you know, the district is in the process of changing out traditional locking doors with electronic locking mechanisms. School principals can give you more information about this process.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

Parent-Teacher Conferences - No School
Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday & Friday, October 27-28. Mr. Gossard will be contacting all parents to arrange a time to meet to discuss your child(ren)'s progress. There is no school on these days.
Community School Activities are Back!
Our local non-profit Community School program is offering the following activities. Waiver of Liability form must be completed and is available in the gym. You only need to complete this form once during the school year.
- Walk or Workout - Mondays-Fridays (school days only), 7:30-8:30am and 2:30-3:30pm, Cooper Landing School gymnasium. Walk laps, or use the step climber, rowing machine, universal weight system, and free weights. Adults only, please. Thank you to the CLSCCI Endowment Fund for the purchase of the step climber and rowing machine.
- Volleyball - Thursdays, 6pm, Cooper Landing School gymnasium. Adults only. Please have clean, non-marking shoes to play in.
- Tot Time - Mondays/Wednesdays, 12-1pm.
All activities during school hours (afternoon Walk/Workout and Tot Time) require participants to first complete a school volunteer application, found here. When the application has been approved, you will be notified by email. You can then participate in these activities.
Please feel free to stop by the school between 9am and 3pm for assistance with this application.
On occasion, we may need help transporting students other than your own on field trips, as we do not have a bus. If you are willing to help out, a background check is required. Please go to https://kpbsd.org/departments/assistant-superintendent/instructional-services/hr/volunteer/ to complete the form. Thank you in advance!
We have put together a Google Doc as a tool to brainstorm fundraising ideas for the school. We have only had two people contribute to this effort. Please use the attached link and add any ideas you may have. Just scroll down to the bottom, add your information, and it will automatically save and will be accessible to everyone in the group. We will use this document at our special fundraising meeting (date/time TBD). We need everyone's ideas and participation. Thanks in advance!

We would really like each and every parent to come in and visit with their child this year, participate in field trips and help out. Please sign up to volunteer so you can come participate, help out, join in and make a difference. Please do this as soon as possible because our field trip for Van Gogh is coming up soon.
