Model Horse Show Clinic
4-H members that are interested in participating in the Model Horse Show at the fair on July 14 are invited to learn how to participate in the Model Horse Show at a clinic. Due to the multiple requests, the first ever Model Horse Show clinic will be held THIS Saturday after the Pre Fair Horse Grading. If you think you might like to participate in the Model Horse Show, this clinic is an informative way to learn about it.
Who: All Franklin County Junior Fair Youth (Kindergarten – Age 18)
When: Saturday June 29th, 2019 @ 2pm - 3:30pm
Where: Ganyard Building – West side of the building

The Greatest Showmen
On Friday, July 19, the Junior Fair Board will be hosting youth with special needs, ages 8-18 years old. They will spend time learning about animal care and showmanship with some of our 4-H members and their respective livestock animals. Each participant will interact with the 4-H members and the animals and then have an opportunity to present their favorite animals to a Showmanship judge. Franklin County Fair Rabbit Fun Show
You are invited to participate in the 2019 Franklin County Junior Fair Rabbit Fun Show. Below are the general rules and classes offered.

4-H Pork Dinner at the Fair
The 4-H Council is looking for volunteers to help and/or donate at the 4-H Pork Dinner. Please consider signing up to help. This sign up will include both shifts during the dinner as well as items requested for donation, so if you cannot commit to a volunteer shift you can still be involved. 4-H Cultural Immersion Project - Puerto Rico
The best way to understand a different culture is to immerse yourself in it. Apply to be part of the Cultural Immersion project experience in Puerto Rico. You will build multicultural skills and understanding, as well as an increased ability to communicate in the increasingly diverse society that we live in. You will experience both the Old San Juan urban area as well as life in the remote mountain town of Castañer. Participants will also be working with 4-H youth from Puerto Rico in joint service projects around the island.
Teens ages 15-18 are eligible for this 7-day service-learning experience. The cost of the experience is $400 plus airfare (est. $650). Limited scholarship funds are also available.
Who: Teens ages 15-18 (by the date of the trip)
Where: Puerto Rico (both Old San Juan and mountain village of Castañer)
When: November 26 – December 3, 2019
Application Deadline: August 15th, 2019
Cost: $400 plus airfare – (Approximately $650)
(Includes most meals, program fees, overnight lodging and transportation).
NOTE: All applicants will have an additional interview before trip final selections. Final Selections will be made on August 25th.
