ABE News
Congratulations to all students who participated in the spring research project! Students in ABE researched various topics, including good nutrition, the Holocaust, and indigenous peoples of the Americas. Students presented their cause & effect and chronology projects using the online Google Slides presentation software, gaining valuable public speaking skills as they presented their findings to their classmates. Great job, everyone!
This week, we will enter our final reading skills module. Did you know that when an author writes a text, she or he has a purpose in mind? That purpose is to inform you, entertain you, or persuade you to do something. Can you tell what the purpose of this text is? Discuss the answers to this question with your teacher.
ESL News
Students, try not to make doctor or other appointments during class time. When you miss a class, you miss a lot! School is like a job. We need to make it a priority or life will get in the way quickly and often.
Looks like we will have a 4-week summer program. If you don't study during summer, you will forget a lot of the English you are working so hard to learn.
Stay tuned for details!
