Weekly Update - Week 20 - 3/8/16
Scripture for Meditation
“Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the ood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD. And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the ood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
Joshua 24:14–15 (KJV)

Prayer Request - the Riviera family
GoFundMe: A Go Fund Me account (set up by Tobitha Smith) has been set up for donations from other homeschool groups and churches that would like to financially support the family. If you would like to support them is this way, here is the link:

Physical Assistance: The Rivera's must provide the insurance company with an itemized list of all of her belongings that have been lost. Although the insurance company is removing all of the big debris from the house, they are not providing any assistance in removing her personal property so that it can be documented. They are leaving all of the "little" things to the family. That said, the family is in need of physical help. I have attached a document to sign-up for a day & time that you might be available to help next week. If you are able to go to Stroudsburg, PA and provide assistance in that process, please go to the link below and put your name in the time slot you can help. I will provide more details about location once people are signed up. (Hopefully, the google docs link will work!)

Standardized Testing
Jessica Harper will be our new Testing Coordinated. Stay posted for more information to come.
At Classical Conversations Testing Services, we believe that standardized testing is an important part of preparing students for college entrance exams, whether your state mandates testing or not. We take a very pragmatic attitude towards testing: The test results are not as important as the skill of test-taking, though achievement tests do provide parents with reliable data for evaluating progress in language and math skills. Each year, we offer local, on-site testing for grades 3–12 through our communities. We are looking for a homeschool parent from this community to coordinate testing this year. For more details, and to apply, visit www.cctestingservices.com.
