Wright-ings E-Notice
Daniel Wright Junior High School E-Notice - August 24, 2020
Directions for DW's First Day of School
Hello DW Families~
Tomorrow, Tuesday, August 25 is the First Day of School and it will be an A~day!
Below is some important information to help make the day successful:
2. Students will go to classroom.google.com or click on the Google Classroom app already installed on student iPads. They will need to find their period one class and use the zoom link provided.
Please Note: Google Classroom may include courses that your child is not enrolled. We apologize for this, however starting on Wednesday, August 26th these classes will no longer appear. The classes and teachers listed in Unified Classroom are CORRECT and we suggest you write down the period and teacher for each class listed in Unified Classroom so that you can locate the correct section in Google Classroom. Use this template to help organize your classes. Remote Learning Schedule Template
3. If you are having trouble with locating classes or accessing a zoom, the DW front office staff will be happy to help you.

5. Please note that although we had asked students to select courses for creative arts, we were unable to honor them when we transitioned to the creation of pods. Pods are groups of students who stay together during the day to lessen interaction when we come back to in person learning. All of our students are placed in pods that rotate through a predetermined sequence of classes and each pod has a different selection of classes.
6. Attendance will be taken both daily and each period. Students must attend scheduled zoom sessions to be marked present for each period. Starting the week of August 31st our attendance office will implement automatic attendance calls when students are not present by the end of their first period zoom session.
