Kids Care Club For December
Each year we throw a holiday party for the residents at Pine Run Lakeview. In order to prepare for the big day we will have a "work" party at Gayman to make cards and a craft for the residents and practice the songs we will sing at the event. We will also be collecting money to purchase a clock, nice checker boards and flag on a stand for the resident community. Please send this with your child on the day of the "work party". You may come to this event even if you cannot attend the actual holiday party.

Also please join the Kids Care Club in throwing its annual Holiday Party for Pine Run Lakeview residents. Each year we throw a meaningful Seasonal Lunch for the nursing home residents. The children sing songs, prepare and serve them food, hand out gifts and present them with cards and a craft. There are many ways to be involved. Please see the sign up genius for the many ways you can help!

Boomerang Award
This year, Gayman will continue to accept nominations for the Boomerang Award, which is our way of honoring students who best demonstrate their own developmental assets. What are Developmental Assets? Students possessing a combination of “40 Assets” are typically most successful in school and in life. These assets have the power to influence choices young people make and help them become caring, responsible adults. For a complete listing of the 40 Developmental Assets visit: www. Search-institute.org.
December #24. Bonding To School. Young person cares about his/her school. The student is actively engaged in promoting a positive school community. Boomerang nominations may be emailed to Suzanne Vass at svass@cbsd.org, or printed out and sent into the office.
