Plaintiffs & Defendants
Plaintiffs will bring against another in a court of law.
Defendants will be the one being accused.
Complaints
There will be no complaints aloud, if so take it up with the judge.
Summons and Pleadings
You must appear before the judge when you are summoned and if you feel you are not guilty the make a pleading to try to see if you can be released.
Pretrial Conference
The judge and lawyers need to discuss what should be presented to the jury.
How to settle a Dispute
Mediators are the intervention to a dispute and use arbitrators to help settle the problem. The use of mediation and arbitration are very similar in the way they settle disputes.
Preponderance of Eveidence
A standard of proof that must be met by a plaintiff if he or she is to win in a civil action.
How to find a Verdict:
There is a trial where a jury will hear the case and determine a verdict from the evidence submitted to them in the case.
