Cozine Climber Updates - November 16
A Note From Cozine:
We hope that you are all staying safe and healthy. The CCSD Superintendent has decided that, in support of the Governor's Stay Home 2.0 initiative, it is best to close all of the school buildings. Starting today, Monday, November 16, our school campus will be closed.
Online distance learning will not be interrupted and teachers and students will continue to have their regular classes.
Food distribution will continue from our school parking lot between the hours of 7:00 am - 10:00 am.
Our school office will still be answering phone calls to help support our families during this time between the hours of 7:30 am and 4:00 pm. You can reach the school at 702-799-0690.
This closure is scheduled until November 30, 2020. We will continue to update you as we receive information.
Have a great week!
Ms. Jodi Notch and Mrs. Lisa Dalton
Required Parent Survey
In an effort to provide additional time for parents/guardians to make decisions regarding the cohort selection(s) for their student(s) within the hybrid instructional model, the Hybrid Cohort Questionnaire located at http://ccsd.net/survey will remain open through November 20, 2020, until 5:00 p.m.
If a parent/guardian wants to change their selection, parents/guardians may submit a second response that will replace their first response beginning on November 11, 2020, at 8:00 a.m. Parents/guardians may only resubmit their response one time through November 20, 2020, until 5:00 p.m. The final cohort selection for every student is required by November 20, 2020, to promote the planning and preparation for the potential of implementing the hybrid instructional model. If you have any questions, please contact the school at (insert school phone number).
American Education Week - Letters of Thanks
This week, November 16-20 is American Education Week where we recognize all the different groups that support our educational system. We will do our part to thank our staff, but if you have a teacher or support staff that you feel has gone above and beyond, please write an email of thanks to let them know. A small thank you gesture from a student or parent goes a long way during distance education.
Also, if someone in the school system has really connected with you, there are a couple ways to recognize him/her publicly.
The De Castroverde Law Group is once again looking to recognize and highlight amazing teachers throughout Clark County. If you know a teacher that’s making an outsized impact on the community, we want to hear about it. Whether you are a current student, former student, or even a parent, we are asking you to nominate the Clark County teacher that has had a positive impact in your life. The deadline to complete the nomination is November 20. Click THIS LINK for more information and to nominate someone.
The Heart of Education Awards nominations are open. The nomination process only takes 5 minutes and can be completed by a parent or student (current or former). The deadline to complete the nomination is January 15. Click THIS LINK for more information and to nominate someone.
