Book Swap Update

Thank you to everyone who helped with the Book Swap as part of the Books and Blooms event this last weekend! We collected over 5,000 books and sold over 400 books and ‘swapped’ many more! This week, teachers and staff were invited to stock their classrooms with as many of the remaining books as they wish. All remaining books will be donated to a variety of non-profit organizations.

Special thanks to my Books and Blooms partners: Alex Elerick, Director of Hockinson Community Education, Ada Carter, and Julie Ruhl.

Thank you to Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt and Panda Express in Battle Ground who supported our students’ love of reading by providing book marks that can be filled out for free goodies at their stores!

The Book Swap would not be possible without our phenomenal parent and families of volunteers! Thank you to Ashla Green, Becka Montero, Denise Williams, Nichole Ervin, Crystal Tarpley, Willow Fitzgerald, Julie Atchley, Julie Love, Emily Combelic, Julie Bridges the Choma, McChesney and Hsu Families, and our most favorite mascot, Buzz!

I can’t wait to do it all over again, next year!
