Dear REACH Community,

Leading up to Easter's extended weekend, we most definitely kept busy. We had our annual Egg-Stravaganza in partnership with members of the student community of Joy James Leadership Academy as well as welcomed a representative from Tarrant County College. We are grateful to have had Ms. Heredia meet one-on-one with students all day to map out the application and enrollment process for new students.

Now for attendance, nothing has changed. It truly matters to avoid a Truancy Prevention Measure and fine and the students' eligibility to earn credits in order to graduate as planned. Remember, attendance is crucial when a passing grade academically cannot be granted if students have 10 or more absences. For some, it will prevent you from walking the stage in May.

News to note!

1. Due to weather days in late January into early February, the school year has been extended through to Wednesday, May 31. This means that we will be engaging in year-end instructional and fun activities on those added days. More to come on that! See the updated calendar below.

• Attendance--Essential to learning and will lead to immediate attendance make-up dates with accrued absences
  
• Commons--Open for use prior to period one and for special events. Breakfast and Lunch periods are to be housed only in our cafeteria.
  
• Bathroom Policy--One student at a time.
  
• Door Access--Under no circumstances are students to open any interior or exterior doors for a classmate or adult, including a CISD employee.
