Concurrent Enrollment Orientation
Our high school scholars in grades 10 -12 are invited to join us this Wednesday, March 27 at 12 pm for a presentation about the High School Concurrent Enrollment Program. The programs give eligible scholars an opportunity to enroll in college courses while attending high school and simultaneously earn college credit.
MULTI-TIERED SYSTEMS OF SUPPORTS (MTSS) ~ This week is focused on at-home support within the MTSS framework. Learning coaches often ask, how do I know if my scholar is successful? How is additional help going to be provided, by whom, how often, and for how long? How can I help with interventions at home? How will I know if the interventions are successful? For learning coaches with elementary and middle school scholars, if their child scores Tier 2 or Tier 3 on the Istation benchmark, their scholar should complete lessons about three times per week for 30 minutes each time to ensure they obtain the skills they need to be successful!
SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING (SEL) SPOTLIGHT ~ Before leaving your house in the morning, you probably make at least 10 decisions, some big and some small. Most of the decisions that we make have both positive and negative consequences and often the bigger the consequences, the more difficult it is to make a decision. Join Mrs. Gonzalez and watch this SEL video spotlight to learn more about what important considerations come into play when making decisions of all sizes.
Enjoy a detailed list of Spring 2019 helpful college and career planning resources for middle and high school scholars.
