Need a window decal for your car...
Hello Vikings! I have opened an Etsy store selling window decals to promote school spirit for our Lago Vista Vikings. Each decal has a detailed description along with the option to personalize it. I figured this would make things easier on everyone because if your kid is like mine the order form will never make it home.
All you have to do is go on to www.etsy.com then enter LV Flightline in the search engine. When you get to the store you pick out the decal or decals of your choice. I have set up the store for different types of payment including PayPal.
Because I am local the process will not take long and I will ship it to you free of charge. Please contact me if you have any questions or a special request.
Thank you for your support.

Attention LVMS and LVHS parents!
Please join us for the LVISD College Planning Night on
Wednesday, December 7th
6:30-7:30pm
LVHS MAC
Enter the MAC through the outside door to the left of the front entrance of the High School.
The purpose of this event is to provide students and their families an opportunity to learn about all things related to college planning, including high school endorsement and course selections, tips to prepare for entrance exams, and how to start planning for the future. Students should also be able to pick up copies of their most recent PSAT scores that night (fingers crossed!). We hope to see you there!
7th grade girls basketball (Coach Moeller)
The Lady Vikings traveled to Ingram for their second game district game of the season against the Ingram Warriors on Monday of this week.
The 7th grade B team came out strong, putting up 8 points in the first quarter. Lots of steals and fast breaks during the game gave us opportunities to score, but the ball just wasn't falling for us. Kate Burke had 4 points, Delaney Reighley had 2 points, and Lola Spedale had 2 points. The Ingram Warriors stepped up their defense, and multiple missed layups kept us scoreless in the rest of the game. The Lady Vikings had lots of positives in the game, blocking out got Makayla Ward and Madisyn Wright 2 rebounds each, and Kate Burke had 4 steals. Lago Vista held the lead over the Warriors until the last quarter, and then missed a chance to take the lead on buzzer beater layup for a final score of 8-9.
The 7th grade A team played a hard fought game and got a chance to work on a lot of skills we've been practicing. The Lady Vikings got out to a great defensive start, pressuring the Warriors and forcing turnovers that turned into quick points for us. Emma Vincent had 4 steals and Avery Rague had 2 steals. The Vikings put up 8 points in the 1st quarter: 6 points from Sarah Long, 2 from Emma Vincent. Were held to only 3 in the 2nd quarter: 1 made free throw from Makenna Walker and a bucket from Klarisa Polikaitis. After a halftime adjustment, we came out and put up 13 points in the 3rd quarter, and then 6 in the 4th quarter. The Warriors had an offensive threat that the Lady Vikings just couldn't stop. This challenge revealed the Lady Vikings defensive weaknesses, and put the final score at 44-30, for their first loss of the season. Sarah Long had a combination of offensive rebounds and fast breaks to score a season high 20 points in the game! Blocking out helped Klarisa Polikaitis bring down 3 rebounds, and Bella Zaleski had 2. Games like these motivate the Lady Vikings to keep learning and growing in their basketball skills, and that's exactly what we've been doing this week.
The Lady Vikings will travel to Florence next Monday, December 5th to take on the Buffaloes in their 3rd district game this season. Good luck ladies!
8th grade girls basketball (Coach Dachowski)
The Lady Vikings traveled to Ingram for their second game district game of the season against the Ingram Warriors on Monday of this week.
This week our Lady Vikings 8th grade A team travelled to Ingram for their second game against the Warriors. They started off strong and put up 8 points in the first quarter. Esther Long and Josey Kannmacher scored 1 point each and Aryanna Wallace, Emily Pieklik, and Schuyler Burke all scored 2 points. The Warriors’ zone defense held the Lady Vikings in the second quarter and no baskets were scored, leaving the score 8 to 12. After the half, the Lady Vikings came back to score 9 points in the 3rdquarter, contributed by Esther Long, Jade Press, Emily Peiklik, and Aryanna Wallace putting them up by 1 point going into the 4th quarter. Unfortunately foul trouble, missed baskets, and turnovers got the best of the Lady Vikings and they lost 23-27 to the Warriors. Coach Dachowski said, “It was good game. They were a good team. We all played hard, had a lot of steals and fast break opportunities. However, we struggled converting those opportunities into baskets.”
