Have a great afternoon,
Hello Fall! 1st to the forest
Thank you for supporting the art program at Kegonsa!
20% of the sales from Artsonia goes to the Kegonsa art room. Each year I save the funds made through Artsonia for a special purchase. This fall, I bought new art books for our art library. I noticed many students love to teach themselves how to draw after completing our lessons and bought a bunch of how-to-draw books with last year’s funds. This year I am saving up to purchase light tables! If you would like to support the art room through an Artsonia purchase, you can follow this link.

Your vigilience helps keep our students safe - COVID-19 Information
Where can I get tested for COVID? See our new COVID-19 Testing Resource Sheet on our COVID-19 Health & Safety page.
Our SASD COVID-19 Dashboard is available to the public on our SASD COVID-19 Dashboard page. We’ve updated the dashboard each week of the school year since November 2020.
COVID symptoms? Stay home! We know your student doesn’t want to miss school, but if your student has symptoms of COVID-19, they must stay home to avoid infecting others. Our Self-Screening quicksheet lists COVID symptoms and what to do if your student has one or more. Remember to screen your child for symptoms every morning and night.
Using the Student COVID-19 Form: If a student tests positive for COVID-19, has symptoms of COVID-19 symptoms, or has been identified as a close contact, start by keeping your student at home, calling your school’s attendance line, completing the Student COVID-19 Form, then contacting your health care provider. We will help you through the process.

We’ve moved our free COVID testing outdoors to indoors until the springtime. Learn more at https://www.stoughton.k12.wi.us/covid-19/testing. Remember that students under 18 years old must have guardian consent (View our webpage for consent requirements) AND register for their test at register.covidconnect.wi.gov. Students and staff over 18 years old must register for their testing register.covidconnect.wi.gov.
Why Apply for P-EBT Benefits?
Even though we are offering free meals to all students during the 2021-2022 school year, a child must be officially enrolled in the free or reduced-price meal program to meet certain eligibility criteria for P-EBT benefits.
Families who may be eligible for free or reduced-price school meals through their children’s schools are encouraged to apply now for the 2021-2022 school year! Please apply directly through your Infinite Campus parent portal app or complete an application found on our food service web page.
Reach out to Kayla McDermot with any questions!

Nurtured Heart for Families
At some point I learned that I have a choice in how I respond to my feelings. I realized that I could either act on my frustration which comes out as anger or use a strategy to calm myself until I am thinking clearly. Unfortunately, like myself, most adults had to make mistake after mistake until they figured out a better way to handle their feelings. More unfortunate are adults who live without strategies for handling their feelings.
What a gift it would be to talk to your children when you are upset or frustrated and show them how you regulate yourself in order to save time, frustration, and to avoid all the messy mistakes we had to make.
Best. Gift. Ever.
