Hadley Students Help Churchill Build Sensory Room

As a part of a Problem-Based Learning unit, a team of 7th and 8th grade math students have been researching and designing a new sensory room for Churchill School. This week, the students presented their suggestions to a panel of decision-makers. Suggestions included different types of multi-sensory apparatus which meet the various needs of students who will utilize the space. The panel of administrators, including Churchill principal Rachel Solomon, were impressed with the student research and presentation, and look forward to the decision-making process and installation process. These Hadley students will be back later this year to help with the installation and testing of the new Churchill sensory space. Great job, Hadley students!

FALL HADLEY ORCHESTRA CONCERT

The Hadley Orchestra students performed their Fall Orchestra Concert on Friday, November 8. The 6th Grade Orchestra performed an arrangement of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony as a tribute to Beethoven's 250th birthday celebration. The 7th Grade Orchestra performed two exciting selections and the Hadley String Orchestra performed three pieces. A special mystery guest narrator was revealed. Hadley Principal Mr. Steve Diveley narrated the final piece of the Hadley Strings entitled GPS written by W.A. Mozart and arranged by Bob Phillips. Thank you to all parents, students and Mr. Diveley, for all their hard work and support! The concert was a huge success!
