January Teacher Feature: Mr. Chase Carroll
Mr. Chase Carroll was born and raised in Grand Saline, TX where his family owned a feeder cattle operation. Mr. Carroll attended Texas A&M University and graduated with a degree in Agriculture Science in 2009. Mr. Carroll obtained his master's degree from Texas A&M Kingsville in Agriculture Science which has allowed him to teach our dual credit ag courses through Palo Alto College. Serving as an Ag teacher for 11 years, Mr. Carroll has worked at O'Connor the last 7 years as the steer project manager, and the coach for the chapter conducting team, horse judging and wildlife judging teams. Mr. Carroll's favorite breed of cattle is the polled Hereford, and his hobbies include golfing, hunting, fishing and taking care of his horses. Kalyn, Mr. Caroll's wife words as a C.P.A. and they met when he was in college at Cavender's when Mr. Carroll went to go buy a belt and a fancy pair of boots. The rest is history. A fun fact about Mr. Carroll is that he also is an avid boxer and he and Mr. Hawkins used to practice and spar together in Krav Maga! We appreciate Mr. Carroll and all that he does for our students and our campus.
