A live question and answer opportunity via Zoom with the Director of Student Services, Kathleen Desmarais

Do you have questions about how the COVID-19 school closure period affects children with special needs? How it will affect their services, team meetings, IEP (Individualized Education Plan), and more? Join us for a live question and answer opportunity with Watertown Public Schools Director of Student Services, Kathleen Desmarais.


Please send your questions in advance to the SEPAC (Special Education Parent Advisory Council) at wps_sepac@watertown.k12.ma.us. All submissions will remain anonymous and members of the SEPAC will read your questions live during this session. Please submit your questions via email by 8:00pm on Wednesday, April 8th to make sure they are received in time to be read during this live session. Questions will also be taken that evening through the Zoom audio and/or chat room as time permits.


The Q&A will be held virtually via Zoom on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at 6:00pm. You can join via you phone, computer or another device using the Zoom link and meeting information below.


We'll end the session with a few quick tips and strategies for managing anxiety in your school age child provided by Hilary Leader, Mental Health Counselor, School Consultant for Boston Public Schools, Watertown SEPAC Officer, and Watertown Parent.
