Message from Mrs. Taormina

On behalf of the students and staff at Oster, I want to thank our parents for volunteering so generously during the past school year. I know your time is valuable, and your willingness to contribute some of that valuable time to the students and staff shows your commitment to the well-being of your child and all of our students. The contributions you have made have really made a difference in our students’ educational experience this year and for that we are grateful.

In honor of all the Oster volunteers, the teachers and I created a video to show our appreciation. Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support for our students! We hope you enjoy it. WE LOVE YOU OSTER PARENTS.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to your child's teacher or me.

5th Grade Parents

Dartmouth Middle School held their incoming 6th Grade webinar Tuesday, and are ready for students to register for band. They are requesting this form be completed by this Friday 5/15. Please feel free to reach out to their guidance counselor if you have any questions: Ms. Yereslove. yereslovem@unionsd.org

Promotion Video

The 5th-grade teachers and I are putting together a promotional video for the 5th-grade students and parents. On June 3rd the link will be shared with the parents to view and have as a keepsake memory. The video will include a viewing of our students’ names, teacher and administration speeches, and whatever else we can create to minimize the loss our students and families are experiencing not being able to participate in the traditional ceremonies.

The 5th-grade teachers plan to host a zoom viewing party with their students on the last day of school to celebrate all their hard work and say their goodbyes.

Highlighting Oster Pride

Recently a team of Oster students: Sushanth N. (Mr.Sinclair's class), Priya P. (Mr. T's Class), Megha S. (Mr.Hickey's Class), and Colin K. (DMS), participated in the 33rd Annual Tech Challenge and won 2 awards. Their challenge was to design an expandable device and design a launcher to launch this device as per the contest specification. Congratulations Team Oster!

Go Cougars!
