Denver, Colorado is about one mile above sea level. Denver is located by the mountains. Denver is in the Great planes, in the west. There is 300 visible named peaks. You can see mountains that go up to 11,000 feat.

Denver has multiple types of precipitation. It can rain, snow, hail, or sleet. Denver gets about 8 to 15 inches of precipitation. They currently have snow, and fog. The average high temperature is 64 F, and the average low is 36 F. The current temperature is in the 20's.

Denver can have thunder storms, winter mix, and tornados. Some of these storms are rare due to Denver's low precipitation. A tornado once touched down at Denver's airport causing panic, everyone had to be transported under ground . There are forest fires caused by lighting.

In Denver there is more than 300 days of sunshine each year. The winters are relay cold and the summers are relay hot. July is when Denver has their hottest days of summer and December is when they have their coldest days of winter.

On Monday the 23 they had a little snow, and it was 22 F. On Tuesday partly sunny, and it was 44 F. On Wednesday snow in the afternoon, and it was 44 F. On Thursday there was a little snow and 28 F. On Friday some snow, and it was 29 F. The pattern in February is sunny, rainy, sunny, rainy, etc. March 4-15 it should be sunny. March 17 it should rain and ice. March 18-19 it should be snowy.
