*At this time, we ask that parents and families not drop off food/lunches for students at school. This will help us ensure the safety of all students and staff. Thank you for your understanding!
Reminders about wearing masks in school
- Students and staff will wear masks at all times except when eating breakfast and lunch (this includes when students are riding the bus)
- Masks must cover the nose and mouth to be effective
- Please change masks daily or wash reusable masks every day
- If you do not have a mask, we have masks available for you

Students have until 11:59 PM each day to meet the criteria above in order to be counted PRESENT as a remote learner.

If you need to report your child as a positive case, we are adding a Google Link on the website for parents to fill out. The link is attached below and will be monitored daily by the Director of Clinic and Health Services.
Athletic Event Protocol
Athletic Event Protocol
To ensure the health and safety of all involved, the Irving ISD Athletic Department has established the following guidelines in accordance with the local and state recommendations and requirements:
- All tickets will be purchased through an online service. No tickets will be sold at the facility.
- All spectators will self-screen for COVID-19 symptoms upon entry and respond with a “yes” or “no” to a stadium worker. Anyone who has been in close contact with someone with COVID-19 or who is showing symptoms should remain home.
- All attendees will be required to wear a face covering according to Executive Order GA-29.
- Each facility will open at 50% capacity. Available seating will be marked accordingly.
- At all times, groups should maintain at least six feet of distance from other groups. This includes the process of admission and seating. A group is defined as no more than 10 people including the members of the household and those persons who traveled together to the facility.
- All spectators are required to sit in the bleachers. No standing or loitering.
- Students must be accompanied by a parent to attend an athletic event.
- Student groups will not be allowed on the field or court.
- Concession stands shall follow all requirements as stated in the 2020-2021 UIL COVID-19 Risk Mitigation Guidelines.
Health and Wellness Resources for Families
- The Irving Family Advocacy Center has an online application available on their website, for parents/families that are in need of free counseling services.
- The Main Place is still offering services to families in need of clothes. Please email Dean Richmond (arichmond@irvingisd.net) if you are in need of assistance.
- Journey of Hope Grief Support Center will be offering several grief workshops this fall. They will also offer a free online grief group in October for children, teenagers, and their families that are anticipating the death of a loved one.
