The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application opens October 1. Don’t wait to complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Some of the most beneficial financial aid funds are first come, first serve.
When a student files the FAFSA, they may become eligible for scholarships or grants (based on need or merit), work-study programs, or low-interest loans. Go to the FAFSA website to learn more. FAFSA priority deadline for Texas students is January 15.
Your FAFSA checklist:
- FSA-ID
- Social Security number
- A copy of your 2019 Income Tax Return
- Names of schools interested in attending
Tip: When completing any post-secondary planning, such as FAFSA use a personal, not school-related email address.
