College Open Lab

SENIORS: Counselors are offering College Open Labs on Tuesdays in October (Oct. 12, Oct. 19 and Oct. 26) during FLEX in the LMC Room 301. This is a time for Seniors to work on College Applications and/or Scholarships. Counselors will be available in these labs to answer any questions Seniors may have. We hope to see you there!


JUNIORS & SENIORS: Are you interested in joining the military? LHS will be providing the ASVAB for interested students on October 26th at 8:30AM. Limited to the first 15 students. Click here to register. Registration deadline is Friday, Oct. 22.

Future Friday Career Series

Need help exploring careers? The Future Friday Career Series will feature guest professionals across multiple industries to share about their experiences. Both high school campuses will be invited to attend and the location will rotate throughout the year. Times will be 9:00-10:20am. Make sure to sign up at least a week in advance to secure a spot. A shuttle bus will be available for each event. Our next event will be focused on Health Services/Human Services Nov 5th at LNHS. Sign up by Oct 29. Local Scholarships Available

SENIORS: Local Scholarships continue to come in! Check your Naviance Account under the College Tab to review the Scholarship List and see if there are any you could qualify for.

Freshmen My MO Scholarship Opportunity

FRESHMEN: Earn Scholarship Dollars for College with the My MO Scholarship Promise Program. Low Income Students can earn $2,500 a year for 4 years by participating and meeting specific college preparatory benchmarks throughout high school. Find out more HERE!

College Financial Aid

The Free Application For Federal Student Aid, FAFSA, opens October 1 for the 2022-2023 school year! The FAFSA is required for A+, grants, student loans and federal work study. Find out more HERE!

Academic Letter Pick-Up

If you qualified for the 2020-2021 Academic Letter and have not picked up your certificate yet, please swing by the Counseling Office to see Mrs. Frizzell. Letters are $8, pins are $1, and your certificate is free! if you have any questions stop by or email

October 11 is It's My Party Day, a great excuse to have a party for no reason at all! Did you know... according to the Guinness Book of World Records the longest dance party last for 55 hours? The party took place in Wexford, Ireland.
