Ring Leader Tidbits

~ We hope you all are enjoying the days filled with goodies and surprises! We want to make sure you all know how incredibly special and appreciated you ALL are! Thanks for being the GREATEST STAFF ON EARTH!

~ We will have a staff meeting tomorrow (Wednesday) after school in the library. This will be a fun holiday activity!

~ Only 3 more (full) days and counting!! We can do it!! Hang in there, and the long break after New Years will be a welcomed treat!

~ Christine has already distributed the early release forms for Friday, in case you have parents who want to take their students after the conclusion of the parties. Please make sure you have parents fill these out. They will turn them in once they leave from the office. If you are not sure of the person and/or do not know if they're on the pick up list, the parents will need to sign out in the office, and we will look up the information on Skyward.

~ Teachers, just a reminder to make sure you are entering your grades for EVERY subject in the timely manner. As you know, I have to complete grade book audits each 3 weeks, and as we have gotten further into the semester, there are less and less grades entered for certain subjects. Remember, per the grading handbook, one content grade per subject per week has to be entered. Thanks for remembering this and ensuring you are following the guidelines. :)

School Bulletin

~ The Table Church has graciously donated the bundt cakes and the Chicken biscuits this week for our 12 Days of Xmas celebrations. If you have time, take a minute to write a quick thank you note to show them our appreciation! :) PTA also donated the mini bundts and will be making another "sweets" donation this week! So, a quick thank you to them would mean a lot as well!

~ Please make sure to remind parents that we do have a full day on Friday and most importantly, that we DO have school. Several surrounding districts are getting out on Thursday, so we want to make sure we are diligent about ensuring our parents know that we DO have school

~ This Friday, the conference schedule will be a little different to accommodate class parties. Each grade level will have a 30 minute conference, similar to how we do it on early release days. The schedule is listed below. Lunch will run as usual at normal lunch times.

Elk of the Month Criteria

We are combining Great Expectations character traits as well as areas discussed in Positive Action to guide our Elk of the Month selections. These areas are also the areas that Tammie will be discussing in guidance lessons. They're pretty general, but we think that's what makes you all have some freedom and creativity when selecting the students.

Here is this month's focus:

December:

Caring

GE:

compassion

courtesy

empathy

optimism
